Media Language and Representations Analysis
Task 1 – How is media language used in 2 media products to create meaning through constructing representations and following genre conventions?
In the magazine 'Scoop', I think that they represent education as something fun. The 'Scoop' does not portray any stereotypes instead it presents information for kids in a fun and kid-friendly way. They do this by the colours they use. They use colours such as light blue and pink which are stereotypical colours. Those colours are accepted by both genders. By photoshopping they have created a front cover that attracts children. The main characters are going to be of different races however I think that i'm going to mostly or all females. They are going to be presented positively because I want the children who are going to read my book to enjoy what I'm writing about. I'm going to use quotes form famous books and put them in my cover lines.
