Vogue pays homage to the 'Enlist' Poster. |
They present intertextuality by using the vogue characters and the 'Enlist' poster. They do this because they want the older generation to make the link between the army poster and the Vogue front cover. This makes the reader feel smart and want to continue reading the magazine.
I will use this intertextuality in my brief by including it in my cover lines. I will make references to famous children books and phrases used in the books by popular characters. For example I could use "all was well" from Harry Potter and the deathly hallows. I will use intertextuality to attract the reader/make the reader interested towards my magazine and make the reader feel smart because they picked up on the comparison.
